A New and Innovative Way of Dental Care

Welcome to a new and innovative way of dental care, where patients, parents, and caregivers can learn about and request teledentistry and desensitization services. Additionally, we serve as a resource to dental, behavioral, and other healthcare providers by incorporating information on how to implement teledentistry and desensitization services in their practices. We are excited to share this information and hope you find it informative.

What is teledentistry?

Teledentisry is a unique and convenient way of experiencing a dental exam in the comfort of your own home. Our office will send one of our dental staff members to perform a thorough patient examination which includes an oral assessment, x-rays, and photographs. These records will be sent to our dentist at the office where they will create your treatment plan. Once finalized, the dentist will call at your convenience to discuss your treatment plan and answer any questions.

What is Dental Desensitization?

Dental desensitization is a technique aimed to help patients who struggle to receive dental care due to fear, anxiety, or behavioral management concerns. This approach gradually exposes patients to a dental setting by stimulating their senses such as sight, touch, sound, taste and feel that they would normally have during dental treatment. With this service, we strive to promote regular dental visits and decrease the need for GA sedation.

Provider Resources

Our hope is that these resources will help providers take that initial step in providing their services to those with special health care needs. These resources cover; 1) Practice Benefits, 2) CEU Recommendations, and 3) Videos, photos, and tutorials.
